Meet the Author

Christopher Nolte is a nurse educator, storyteller, dachshund dad, and the creator of Das Wienerhaus Productions and A Tale of Four Guys and a Little Lady: The Adventures of Piper Jean.

Long before Piper Jean became the star of a children's book, she was simply the newest — and smallest — member of the family. With her unmistakable personality, determination, mischievous streak, and ability to turn an ordinary day into a full-blown adventure, Piper quickly became a source of stories that were simply too good not to share.

What began as a lighthearted series inspired by the real-life antics of Piper and her dachshund brothers, Oscar and Jimmy, eventually grew into something much bigger.

Christopher saw an opportunity to tell stories that were fun and entertaining while also carrying messages children could take with them: kindness, courage, perseverance, acceptance, family, and the belief that being different does not mean being less.

Those ideas became the heart of The Adventures of Piper Jean.

Christopher brings his background as a nurse and educator into his storytelling as well. After more than two decades in healthcare, he has spent much of his career teaching, encouraging, and helping others learn. Creating children's books became another way to do what he has always loved — tell a good story, make people smile, and leave behind a lesson that matters.

At home, Christopher shares life with his husband, Derek, and the real stars behind the stories: Oscar, Jimmy, and, of course, Piper Jean.

Together, they are the inspiration behind the wonderfully chaotic world of Das Wienerhaus Productions.
